Marketing Assistant | Edinburgh based

As Marketing Assistant, you will have a keen interest and awareness in the areas of advertising, film, fashion brands and photography, and have a good working knowledge of the key players within both the UK and international markets (production companies, advertising and photo agencies).

You are on the pulse of all things digital. We want you to be self-motivated, positive, show great initiative, be creative and work well in a team. Your strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is essential. You must have an ability to juggle a varied workload and adapt to different tasks.

Reporting

You will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager, Katy Hutcheson.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a really exciting and fast-paced role full-time position based in our Edinburgh office. You will develop and implement the organic reach of LS Productions’ online presence with engaging web content to drive traffic across all aspects of the brand. Create and upload web content through our website CMS and manage the day-to-day curation of our accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube and Vimeo). You will keep up-to-date with international social media developments and continue to increase the UK-wide and international presence and awareness of LS.

Content creation is a large part of this role and we need a good writer who is confident in their skills with grammar, punctuation and spelling; happy to write and edit content where necessary and present a confident, engaging and professional company tone across all platforms.

You will support the Marketing & Communications Manager in areas such as PR, brand development, direct and digital marketing plans. You will assist in the design of LS company presentations, mailers, event invitations and marketing gifts. Analytically, you’ll work in-depth on Google and website analytics, as well as supporting on quarterly marketing and company breakdowns.

You will be required to do extensive market research for the company, including new industry sectors for sales trips using both online and print content.

As well as working for LS Productions, you will be open and excited for opportunities that may arise at its sister companies with opportunities to help with the marketing and social media planning, launch and day-to-day management in new areas of company expansion.

Key Skills & Experience

·       Graduate with previous experience in a similar marketing role

·       Excellent command of written English with copy accuracy

·        Organising and reporting of market research

·        Assisting the manager in writing reports and analysing data

·        Understanding of SEO, PPC and Google Analytics

·        Experience and knowledge using social media tools

·        Excellent research skills

·        Confidence to brainstorm new marketing ideas

·        Experience with CMS

·        Scheduling and time management

·        Well organised and self-motivated

·        Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

·        Ability to use Photoshop, InDesign and other software is advantageous

·        Excellent attention to detail

Office Assistant | Edinburgh based

We are looking for a highly organised, efficient and friendly Office Assistant who will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the office and maintain our production kit.

We are a busy and hardworking production office and no day is ever the same. You will have high standards and a work ethic which is second to none. Confidence is key as is organisation. Be honest, diligent, show initiative and always have a smile on your face. You will have a great telephone and face-to-face manner with colleagues and clients coming into the office.

Are you a multitasking genius who can look after a mixture of people with different needs? You will keep our office running smoothly no matter the request; making teas and coffees, maintaining the office, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy or running out to buy last minute client requests.

While all this is going on you will be required to take charge of the inventory of our production kit and shoot essentials – all items required to support and make a shoot go well. You will organise our stock room, create an inventory, replenish, suggest new items and check in and out all production kit – from generators to EZ ups, cushions to mobile wifis. Experience of production is not necessary, you will be taught everything you need to know and become a wonder with the check list.

This is not an entry level position, nor a stepping stone into production or a more creative role. Plain and simple; this is an admin role. Do you love to be office based and have fresh office admin ideas up your sleeve that you're ready to unleash in the LS HQ?

Your working hours would normally be Monday to Friday 9.00am until 5.30pm  - occasionally helping out more when required.

Administration

·       Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the LS office, this will include acting as PA to the CEO, giving admin support to the production team and everything in between.

·       Ability to ensure others meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

·       Highly organised and able to juggle many projects at any one time.

·       Managing internal meetings.

·       Maintaining the office environment - staff refreshments - water, fruit, tea, coffee.

·       Organising the office layout and maintaining supplies of stationery and equipment.

·       Updating personnel records.

Production Kit

·       Reviewing all Production Kit

·       Organising & managing storage

·        Creating an inventory

·        Checking kit in and out for shoots

·        Maintaining the kit to the highest standard

·       Ordering & replacing old or broken items.

·       Suggesting new items.

·       Briefing runner / drivers on the LS way.
