British Vogue | Alasdair McLellan
Photo
For this shoot with British Vogue, we took photographer Alasdair McLellan and Fashion Editor Kate Phelan to the North Coast 500 – Scotland’s answer to Route 66 – for a motorbike themed shoot titled ‘Full Throttle’. The editorial, featuring model Edie Campbell, skateboarder Blondey McCoy and a team of motocross riders, was shot at several locations along the route and at The Horn, a café near Errol in Perthshire.

This shoot marks our sixth with Alasdair McLellan, having shot Fantastic Man, Another Man, i-D Magazine, Style.com and W Magazine with him over the past few years. The NC500 is becoming synonymous with the wonderful drives that Scotland’s countryside can offer to photographers, locals and tourists alike. En route, you pass incredible scenery, castles, quaint villages and – most importantly – some of Scotland’s most beautiful northern coastal stretches.
We love the finished spread. With clothes from Chloé, Miu Miu, Dries van Noten and Acne, it reads like an LS Productions team dream closet; the buttery leather and pops of colour juxtaposing perfectly with the softness of the Scottish landscape and retro tones of the diner.
