Film

Shot on 16mm, this cinematic ad for British charity Comic Relief, in which star talent Peter Mullan plays a grandfather passing on words of wisdom to his grandchild, is a reminder in these increasingly divided times that we have more in common with eachother than we might think.

Filmed in a residential flat in Glasgow, this collaboration between Wonderhood Studios, Pulse Films and LS Productions is a showcase of the beauty found in the everyday; the perfect love letter to Comic Relief's incredible work raising over £1.2billion over the last 30 years.

Creative Solutions

With a unit of sixty five people shooting in a small residential flat, including one VIP talent and three babies with parents, the production team were all systems go; adapting to any challenges to keep the cogs turning behind the scenes so that this beautifully crafted ad could come to life on screen.

Location Brief

The visuals in this ad are reminders of the everyday lives of people in the UK, hence the importance of an authentic, everyday home. The director required a 1960's or 1970's style flat within a residential tower block surrounded by other housing estates, with lived-in interiors that were full of character.

“LS Productions are proud to have supported Comic Relief in this fundraising spot.”

Location Management

The shoot location was secured the day prior to both the pre-light and art department prep. Our in-house production and location teams on the ground worked tirelessly to ensure the set perfectly met the brief for this national TV spot to appear the following week on BBC One.

A local approach

Glasgow provided the ideal backdrop so that the ad could present a universally familiar scene for everyone watching throughout the UK to relate to. Utilising our extensive online network and relationships with local landlords, housing associations and councils, our locations team were able to secure the property to match this brief within just 24 hours.

“We provided world class support in a short turnaround to achieve the work you see today.”

BMW | TP Films | Dan Di Felice

To showcase 'The 7', BMW's highly anticipated new model, we brought the German team over to the UK to shoot a 2 minute launch film and 45 second TV commercial in collaboration with Serviceplan and TP Films, as well as renowned director Dan Di Felice.

This atmospheric campaign aims to showcase the car taking flight in a dramatic storm, which we enabled with an active airport location, a private jet, fire engines, and some very clever SFX.

Scroll on to explore the logistics of shooting this highly secretive product launch which we produced without a single sighting from the public.

Porsche | Bee Film | Bernd Seiboldt

Produced alongside German motion production company Bee Film, 'Welcome to Life' is a promo for the new Porsche 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T.

The film follows a couple driving their respective Boxster and Cayman models around winding country roads to get off the grid and escape from the high-tech, high-stress daily grind of modern life. Shot across four different locations within the breathtaking Isle of Skye, this film highlights the raw beauty that Scotland can deliver for the ultimate showcase of driving footage for car fanatics and outdoors enthusiasts alike.
