If I had to summarise 2025 in two words, they would be: Challenging and Inspiring.

by Marie Owen, CEO - LS Productions

As we wrap up another year at LS Productions, I’ve been reflecting not just on what we’ve done, but on where we are going. It has been a year defined by transition - a deliberate shifting of gears to ensure this business is in the best possible shape to meet the needs of modern production.

It is no secret that the media and entertainment landscape is going through a significant period of upheaval. From the rise of AI and the dominance of streamers to the rapid growth of in-house agency capabilities, the ground under our feet is constantly moving. But at LS, we don’t stand still. We evolve.

Building for the Future

This year, we took major steps to "future-proof" our model. We are getting ourselves ready for a massive milestone: our 20th anniversary in 2026.

To support this evolution, we were thrilled to secure funding from the British Business Bank through FSE. In uncertain economic times, this is more than just financial support; it is a vote of confidence in the LS model and an incredible opportunity to invest in our infrastructure.

Part of that investment is in top-tier talent. We were delighted to welcome Paul Reynolds into the business this year. Paul’s arrival marks a pivotal moment for us. His experience and vision are exactly what we need to help us grow and navigate the changing tides of the industry. Having him on board ensures we have the leadership density to tackle the next chapter head-on.

A Fond Farewell to Leith

Growth often requires change, and sometimes that change is emotional. Next year, we will be saying goodbye to 107 Constitution Street in Leith, Edinburgh.

This building has been our home for nearly 20 years. It has seen us grow from a small team into a global production partner. While it is hard to leave the bricks and mortar that hold so many memories, we are heading into our next decade excited to embrace new, agile ways of working. It is the end of an era, but the beginning of a very exciting new one.

Creative Highlights

While we’ve been busy building the business backend, the work on screen has been as spectacular as ever.

The year began on a high with the release of Glenmorangie’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Scotland’ featuring Hollywood icon, Harrison Ford. An ultimate pinch me moment and fabulous to see this work recognised to see this campaign pick up the ‘Best Production’ award at Le Book in Paris, New York, and Copenhagen.

Music and fashion have also been at the forefront of our 2025. We had the privilege of filming Florence + The Machine’s new single, ‘Everybody Scream’. Shooting at Wythenshawe Hall and other incredible locations across the North of England reminded us of the sheer versatility of the UK landscape. It’s also been a stellar year for our fashion division, delivering memorable campaigns for our brilliant partners from Boden to Barbour.

Connection and Community

Finally, 2025 was a year of reconnection. In this industry, relationships are everything, and we made sure to celebrate them.

We kicked off the year in style, raising a dram in London with our industry friends for our inaugural Burns Night celebrations.

We took the LS spirit global, travelling to New York for AICP and Le Book.

Our very own Sarah D represented us in Saudi Arabia as part of the UKAEG’s Advertising Trade Mission, forging new paths in emerging markets.

We’ve welcomed film and high school students from across Scotland for immersive sessions about careers in production and routes into the industry for all.

And, of course, we returned to Kinsale, sponsoring the now-iconic Drag Bingo with our friends from the APA and Futz Butler.

Looking to '26

As the industry changes, we are changing with it, becoming leaner, smarter, and more creative.

Thank you to our team, our partners, and our clients for a transformative 2025. We are taking a moment to breathe and celebrate, but our eyes are firmly fixed on the horizon.

2026 is our 20th year. We’ll be ready.
