LS Productions lends its extensive knowledge of film production in Scotland to the docu-series: ‘Journeys in Taste’

Directed by Sam Goldwater, produced by Condé Nast and featuring Michelin star Scottish chef, Tom Kitchin, the project was an incredible showcase of Scottish talent both on and off screen.

LS Productions was delighted to provide the production service for this unique project, filmed at across 3 days in September 2020.

TRAVEL + COVID SAFETY

On location were 37 crew members, 1 talent and 8 contributors.

The creative included a multitude of outdoor activities - breaking barrels, game bird drive and shooting, mushroom and bramble foraging, fly-fishing, cooking over fire. These activities required travel over long distances and some massive unit moves, now all within the parameters of Covid Safety. However, with the LS Productions team’s experience implementing Covid protocols over the last few months they managed to accommodate the project’s needs.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE, SMOOTH LOGISTICS

Filming took place across the central belt of Scotland, close to the crew bases of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Locations included a distillery, sporting estate, foraging forest, fishing river, outdoor rustic kitchen, scenic roads. LS Productions used its local knowledge to source locations close to Edinburgh where Tom Kitchin and his restaurants are based, and secured road permissions with councils in extremely tight turnarounds given the pandemic.
