LS Films at EIFF22

The world premiere of the 20-minute short film, Little Warrior, will take place at the Edinburgh International Film Festival later this month.

The film follows the story of Johana Gómez, 10-time reigning Venezuelan amateur featherweight champion, as she attempts to pull herself and her family out of poverty by pursuing her dream to become a professional boxer. An unlikely connection changes the trajectory of her life when she contacts Scottish boxing trainer Gary Young, who sees her potential and facilitates the offer of a professional contract.

The screening will take place at the OMNi Centre Vue Cinema on Saturday 20th August at 3:30pm and will be followed by a Q&A with director Paul Sng, editor Manuela Lupini, producer Sarah Drummond and executive producer Irvine Welsh.
