Marie Owen to receive OBE in New Year's Honours List

We’re super proud to say our Founder and CEO, Marie Owen, has been recognised in the 2026 New Years Honours List. Marie is part of a group from across Scotland receiving recognition for their services to the country and she will receive an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the Creative Industries and Economic Development.

From day one, Marie’s vision has been to put Scotland and the UK on the map as a destination for world-class production. Under her leadership, LS Productions has evolved into the UK’s largest production service company - driving international investment, supporting local economies, and championing the incredible talent within our industry and helping put Scottish production on the map.

This recognition is a testament to Marie's relentless hustle, willingness to break the rules and her belief in the power of the creative sector to drive real economic change in Scotland. But most importantly it’s down to her passion for doing great work with incredible people.

As the production and wider creative industries undergo seismic change and LS Productions looks to evolve to meet these changes, this commitment to people and craft still remains at the heart of everything.
